Local Storage (Default)
By default, all your data is stored locally on your device using iOS Data Protection. This means:

- Data is stored in the app's secure sandbox, isolated from other apps

- Data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any external servers
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync (opt-in feature):
- Data is synced to your iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service
- All data is encrypted end-to-end by Apple
- Data is accessible across your devices signed into the same iCloud account
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings
- When disabled, data remains only on your local device

- Using iOS built-in security features and encryption
- Storing data in secure, sandboxed app containers

5. Overseas Disclosure
If you enable iCloud sync, your personal information may be stored on Apple's servers, which may be located outside of Australia. This disclosure is:
- Only made with your explicit consent (when you enable iCloud sync)
- Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and terms of service
- Protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption
- Reversible at any time by disabling iCloud sync
If you do not enable iCloud sync, your data remains stored locally on your device in Australia and is not disclosed overseas.

Deleting Your Information
You can delete your personal information by:
- Deleting individual friends or data items within the app
- Deleting the app from your device (this will delete all local data unless iCloud sync is enabled)
- If iCloud sync is enabled, you may need to delete data from iCloud separately

7. Sensitive Information
Important: Do Not Store Sensitive Information
Koinonia is designed for managing friendships and relationships. You should NOT store sensitive personal information such as:

- Medical records or health information
- Passwords or security credentials
- Any other highly sensitive personal data
If you choose to store such information, you do so at your own risk. Koinonia is not designed or intended for storing sensitive data and cannot guarantee the security of such information.
